Mostly oak trees in several areas of Ladygrove Park west of Mersey Way
MERSEY WAY South from the A4130 roundabout entrance to Ladygrove Park, there are several groups of oaks in a public grassy area west of Mersey Way, including a large forked oak with slanting branches believed by the Woodland Trust to be two trees that have grown together. Further south, an oak grows adjacent to the brook that crosses Ladygrove and eventually flows north into the River Thames.
BLACKWATER WAY In the residential roads of the Blackwater Way area, there are a number of urban oaks that give character to the street scene and remind us of the rural history of this area before Ladygrove Park was built in the 1990s.
AVON WAY The streets around the northern part of Avon Way contain half a dozen mature oaks, including two on a green that also features a prominent large willow.
TYNE AVENUE There are relatively few large street trees in this part of Ladygrove, but there are two on private land in the estate roads off Tyne Avenue, east from Willowbrook Leisure Centre. These two oaks are clearly visible from the nearby hill to the south of Ladygrove Lakes.
